Each player has 15 pieces, and your main board is opposite your opponent's board. Players roll dice to decide their moves. You can move your pieces based on the total of both dice or split them between two different pieces. If you roll a pair, you have a high chance of increasing the speed at which your pieces move. Keep in mind that you can only move to empty squares, your pieces, or your opponent's one piece.
The first player to move all of the pieces to the main board and remove each one by rolling the dice wins.
One of the appeals of Backgammon Online is the ability to capture your opponent's pieces. If you move to a square where your opponent only has one piece, you remove that piece from the board, giving yourself a huge advantage.
